For technology projects to be successful, there must be community engagement and will for the change the projects represents.
In this workshop, participants will have a chance to:
Learn a research methodology to uncover community.
Learn techniques to engage the community in designing a successful technology project.
Be exposed to techniques to evaluation the impact of the project.
Successful investments in social tech change efforts require not only technical knowledge, but primarily a knowledge of local community stakeholders at the individual, organizational, and institutional levels. Learn techniques to engage these stakeholders in projects to define the intended impact and to assess that impact.
