Businesses can play a key role in scaling societal impact, but they will need to move past business as usual if they want to do so. While recent news seems promising (e.g. 181 CEOs of the biggest companies just committed to creating value for all stakeholders), change is not happening at a sufficient pace nor magnitude. Only a few front-running businesses have managed to integrate societal impact within their core business. In this session, we will therefore explore how Corporate Social Investors (such as corporate foundations, corporate impact funds, accelerators or inclusive businesses) can inspire and nudget systemic change within businesses.
At the end of session the audience should have a clearer picture on the following questions:
What are the unique possibilities of Corporate Social Investors to inspire change?
How can they most effectively do so?
What is needed to inspire real systemic change?
